There is something very zen in post processing. Here is a before and after shot I took last weekend near Storybook Trail. This is a tough shot to get because you can only expose for the sky or the mountain but not both. As you can see I exposed for the sky and the mountain came out very dark in the original. If I had exposed for the mountain (and not the sky) then the sky would have been "blown out" and unrecoverable in post processing. This is why we shoot in "Raw" (what is Raw? Well thats a subject for another post).
